Introducing "De Lombardie Spirit of Barleyarch (Imp Can)

We have long admired the De Lombardie Kennel, a French Canadian GSP kennel owned by Lise Cere .
It was clear she is an ethical breeder who strives to produce sound typical dogs that are capable of work and show; and to that end we began to follow her breeding. Lise made the brave decision to mate her Top Winning dog "Freya" mid show career, to an outstanding dog called Abe, from America, whose breeding is renowned for Dual Champions of the highest order. Well if opportunity knocks, then why not let it in? Having just begun his show career, Archie has only been exhibited twice, but is already being much admired, particularly for his type, sound construction & of course the movement inherited from his illustrious mother.
To date, he has been awarded Best Puppy in Breed at both shows, a Puppy Group shortlist & Puppy Group 2nd place, plus VHC in his 1st ever Puppy Stakes & 1st in his 2nd Puppy Stakes at just over 6 months of age.
Still very much a baby we intend for him to enjoy himself having already made a huge amount of doggy friends which is testament to his sweet disposition.
We also intend to train him as a Gundog already showing a strong pointing instinct & a most willing retriever.

The Barleyarch Kennel was established in 1982 by Martin and Sue Harris, who are both Championship Show judges & current members of the Management Committee of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club. Sue is also the GSP Breed Liaison Officer , the GSP Health Co ordinator and a member of The Kennel Club.
